Welcome to Tex's Web site What I do is create Pinstriping and Graffix of all kinds along with a limited amount of lettering and sign painting. I don’t think I’m the best, but then again, I know I’m not the worst!! I am a certified Car Crazy person that enjoys looking at cars, driving cars and painting on cars!! I do know that I have a lot of fun creating artwork (yes, I consider Pinstriping artwork) and it’s something I enjoy. I wish I could say that I’m going to be really wealthy from painting but I’m more of a realist. I want to provide a service for the folks out there that don’t have $50,000 to spend on a paint job, but want their vehicle to stand out in a crowd. That’s why I charge a modest amount for my work and try to work within a person’s budget. I find that if you give a customer more than they thought they were going to get, both you and the customer win!
I get hassled a little because I drive a PT Cruiser with flames on it and Pinstriping and a lot of custom work. A lot of people say that it’s not a classic and I agree. I had classic cars that I couldn’t drive in the rain and had to make sure that people didn’t lean on it, or mar the finish. My PT has 130,000 miles on it and it’s still a lot of fun to drive. And then there are those that just can’t see why you would put flames on a car with a 4 cylinder engine and I always answer – because I could!!
To be honest, I didn’t do all the Pinstriping on the car – another person did the back window area and the outline on the flames. I did the hood and all the striping and Graffix on the inside of the car. The flames and all the custom body work was also done by me as I had time and money to do it – think “Tight Budget”
And now I have a 2011 Dodge Ram 1500 that I have pinstriped. I have added Pinstriping on the Sides, Hood and back as you can see from the photos.

Yes – Jesus and Rat Fink can co-exist as long as you know which one is real!
I love to work with people and help them realize their dreams of having a one of a kind ride. I know that sounds a little egotistical but I think you have to have an ego and a passion for what you do in order for it not to be work. I find that when I practice every chance I get and create art of one form or another that my mind and body feel a lot better than sitting in front of a TV watching other folks accomplish things.
I am at a place in life where I do pretty much what I want, I am retired now, but to me, retirement just means I’ll have more time to paint and build cars and help people drive fancy pinstriped vehicles and paint a few signs and keep busy. I don’t think that man was made to sit in a rocking chair and wither away. I’d rather wear out than rust out! And as my 88 year old mother in law says – “Getting old ain’t for sissies!!”
Amen to that!! I hope you have found this fun to read and I hope that you find something that you can be passionate about in your life!! This ain’t no dress rehearsal – this is the real show, so enjoy every second and don’t forget to thank God every day for your life and blessings! Look around the site and if you like what you see, let me know… If you don’t like what you see, let me know that too! Everyone’s entitled to their opinion, even if it’s wrong! (wink, wink) TEX
